Recognition Day 2022-23

‘Next to excellence is an appreciation of it’- William Thackrey

Recognition Day is an annual occasion where students are awarded for their hard work, perseverance and determination. Khaitan Public School celebrated Recognition Day on 27th of April where Middle School students were recognised for excellence in academic rigour as well as co-curricular activities.  The event, which was conducted online, began on an auspicious note with the chanting of Sanskrit shlokas to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi and Lord Ganesh. The Education Director, Ms. Mamta Kapoor, warmly welcomed all to the threefold recognition of the children, parents, and teachers for their pursuit of brilliance. The principal, Ms. Claire White, addressed the august gathering and congratulated the students on their astounding achievements.

The much-awaited awards were announced for students of Grades 5-7, Session 2022-23. Certificates were awarded for various honours like Mahadevi Verma Award. Ramanujan Award, Uday Shankar Award, Lata Mangeshkar Award, Jamini Roy Award etc. The announcement of each award was followed by a thundering applause as students reaped the fruits of their labour and application.

The event witnessed a melange of ideas resonating through various artistic and aesthetic skills. Our vocalists enthralled the audience by singing ‘Unstoppable ‘by Sia. The Khaitan Performing Arts Society showcased a breath-taking dance performance choreographed by Ms Munam Roy. The theme was an ode to the omnipotent power of goddesses. The performance encouraged the students and reiterated the fact that motivation, patience, hard work and resilience are the keys to success. Ms. Aparajita Roy Das, Head of Middle and Preparatory School proposed the vote of thanks and brought the celebration to a close. It was truly a proud occasion for all achievers.
