Leadership Camp 2025 – Nurturing the Leaders of Tomorrow

At Khaitan Public School, leadership is more than a title—it is a way of thinking, communicating, and growing. In alignment with this belief, the school organised a dynamic two-day Leadership Camp on 11th and 12th July 2025, aimed at empowering student leaders with essential 21st-century skills.

Day 1: Exploring the Core of Leadership

The camp commenced with an impactful session by Ms. Emilin Clement, titled “Speak to Lead: The Power of Public Speaking and Communication”, where students explored the power of public speaking, body language, and confident communication. Through interactive exercises, students learned how to present themselves as effective and influential leaders.

This was followed by an enriching session by Dr. Arti Girdhar, titled “From Peer to Leader: Role Transition through Teamwork”. Through ten engaging group activities, students gained valuable insights into teamwork, responsibility, and transitioning from being a peer to a leader. Tokens of appreciation, including badges and mini awards, were distributed to encourage their efforts.

The day continued with a thought-provoking session by Principal Mr. Anand Kumar, titled “The Innovation Courtroom: Design Thinking and Creative Problem-Solving”, where students explored design thinking, conflict resolution, and creative problem-solving through structured debates and activities.

Later in the evening, the campus was filled with energy and excitement during the Student Talent Showcase, judged by Ms. Anusuya Ghosh banerjee , Ms. Aakriti Arya, and Mr. Michale Peter . Students showcased their artistic flair in dance, music, theatre, poetry, and visual arts.

Before concluding the evening, students watched the uplifting film “Hawaa Hawaai”, which narrates the journey of a young boy who creates his own skates from discarded materials to follow his dream. The film was both entertaining and deeply inspiring, leaving students with a strong message about resilience, innovation, and the importance of pursuing goals despite obstacles. It beautifully echoed the leadership camp’s core values of determination, creativity, and perseverance.

To enrich the experience, students stayed overnight on campus, fostering a stronger sense of community, collaboration, and shared responsibility.

Day 2: Leading with Resilience and Purpose

The second day began with a refreshing Yoga for Focus and Mindfulness session conducted by the Department of Physical Education, grounding students in mindfulness and focus—qualities essential for any leader.

This was followed by a powerful and inspiring session by Ms. Suyash Khaneja, titled “Lead with Purpose: Vision and Goal Setting”. Students reflected on their personal goals and learned how to align them with a greater vision.

The next session on “Crisis Management and Decision Making Under Pressure” was conducted by Ms. Sunita Konwar and Mr. Abhishek Verma. Students developed critical skills to manage challenges effectively during stressful situations.

The final session of the camp was delivered by Mr. Ankur Kaushik, titled “Fail Forward: Building Resilience in Leadership”. Through engaging activities, students discovered the importance of resilience and learned how failures can be stepping stones to success.

The camp concluded on a reflective note with a session by Ms. Monika Koul Sultan , titled “The One Word Wall and Journaling: Capturing Leadership Growth”, where students captured their key takeaways, personal growth, and leadership insights.
