It’s not just crayons, comprehension and dodge ball. There’s much more than education happening when a child takes a seat behind a desk at a Primary School in KPS. Our Primary School is the incubator for the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators.
Head of Primary
It is the time for us to champion individuality while introducing the values of coordination, empathy and collaboration. Our students are being primed for more than learning the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic.
Our educators nurture young minds by providing a broad and balanced education. Academics goes hand in hand with a plethora of experiences in co -scholastic areas for the holistic development of our students. We provide a safe, positive and creative environment where effective learning takes place through exploration and active learning.
We work in a very close partnership with parents so that every child is fully supported. We know the importance that parents play in their child’s education and so welcome the involvement of parents in a child’s education and in the life of our school.
By the time children leave us they are responsible, independent young people and we are very proud of them. We pride ourselves on being a warm, welcoming school and look forward to working together to achieve the best outcomes for all of the children.
Head of Pre-Primary
The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child’s own natural desire to learn. – Maria Montessori
The early years are the most extraordinary period of growth and development in a child’s lifetime. The foundations of all learning are laid during these years. Getting the foundations right carries huge future benefits: better learning in school and higher educational attainment.
At KPS the pre-primary curriculum has been developed to make children understand and explore their immediate environment and the physical world. Here the opportunities are provided to them to find answers to their numerous questions through exploration, experimentation, and conversations during guided and scaffolded play in purposeful play environments created by adults. These experiences nurture natural curiosity in young minds and they are always eager to inquire.
Our early childhood curriculum helps children to acquire social and emotional skills, such as regulating emotions, sharing with others, and following instructions. These skills lay the foundation for developing literacy, numeracy and other cognitive abilities that are critical for success in school and life.
