The Makerspace Lab is where the khaitanians gather to think, create, invent, explore and discover using a variety of materials. It is a space where tinkering little minds start thinking logically and technically. Using practical experiments and easy-to-procure material, they create working models, musical instruments and other works of ingenuity.
‘Atelier’ is a world-class art studio with a gallery to display the students’ creations. ‘Kalakshetra’ is a traditional open studio facility wherein the students enhance their creativity through observation and bonding with the environment. The visual art facility also has a ceramic studio with a professional kiln to give the students a feel of the real world.
With more than 17 recognized sports in the school campus, which includes a 7 Acre state-of-the-art sports complex, Sports has been given priority at par with rest of the academic requirements at Khaitan Public School.
Khaitan Public School can boast of a 25m*12m all-weather, half-Olympic sized pool in the school campus. Here, the students can splash away the heat and train for competitions.
The medical room, looked after by two qualified nurses and a visiting doctor, is well-equipped with the necessary medicines and instruments. An annual medical checkup of the students is also conducted here.
The well-lit and welcoming library at Khaitan Public School has a collection of 15,000 books in various academic and artistic fields. The Middle and Senior library, called ‘Sankalan’ offers a hi-tech e-library with e-books for students to read on tablets. Classes I to IV maintain class libraries according to the need of the specific classes and attend story sessions in the Elementary school library-cum-story telling room, ‘Katha Lok’.
The cafeteria is a cheerful place where the students can sit together and feast on healthy food packed with flavour. Cafe Coffee Day has recently opened an outlet in campus to complement the Teachers during their working hours with coffee and delicacies.
The transport arrangement in KPS has a strong security and compliance management system, strengthened by regular audits and compliance checks. We strictly follow the CBSE guidelines for the security and safety of the students. We have a CCTV and GPS enabled fleet with live tracking system. Additionally, first-aid & fire extinguishers are available in every bus. Our transport staff is police verified and well trained. All drivers have a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Day Boarding at Khaitan offers the right mix of facilities and services keeping the requirements of working parents in mind. Children’s health and hygiene are the primary focus here. Well-trained staff and a dedicated kitchen ensure superior standards of hygiene. The meal is always rich in nutritive value and suits the taste buds of the children. Milk is considered an essential part of a child’s meal at Khaitan Day Boarding.
The recreational area has fourteen swings based on various gross motor skills. The water park is an area of activity instilling a sense of fun and enjoyment in the pre-primary school students.
KPS can boast of supercomputers, which support movie-making, application development and much more. The biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics labs are also equipped with the latest innovative additions to make learning more interesting by visually and experientially manifesting abstract concepts.
The school endeavours to instill certain values like self-control, discipline, perseverance, determination and a sense of belongingness through sports. Keeping this in mind, the school has started the Extended School Sports Program.
These are dedicated spaces for various aspects of performing arts like percussion, strings, keyboards, vocal music, and English and Hindi theatre. It also boasts of state-of-the-art radio and TV stations, which are equipped to provide professional exposure to the creatively inclined students. All classrooms are aptly named after exponents in the respective performing arts.
