Special Education Program

Karuna School- The Khaitan Legacy of Inclusive Education: A safe, inclusive, and joyful learning space where every child feels respected, inspired, and loved for who they are.

As a proud part of the Khaitan legacy, Karuna is a specialized learning space that celebrates diversity and champions potential. From occupational and behavioural therapy to creative arts, sports, and cultural experiences, every program is designed to build confidence, communication, and essential life skills.

Designed for children with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other learning differences, it offers a nurturing ecosystem that blends compassion, expertise, and innovation.

With a student–teacher ratio of 1:7, a team of passionate and highly skilled special educators, therapists, and counsellors combine academics with therapies, life skills, and emotional development.

At Karuna, we believe every child is exceptional; not in spite of their differences, but because of them.

Learning in Action:
Supporting, Nurturing, Empowering

Integrated Classrooms

By adapting teaching strategies, using assistive technologies, and providing individualized support, our integrated classroom helps children with diverse learning needs access the same curriculum as their peers while fostering empathy and collaboration among all students.

Inclusive Classrooms

We create welcoming environments where all learners thrive together through empathy, collaboration, and differentiated instruction.

Therapeutic & Emotional Guidance

With in-house counselors and learning specialists, students receive holistic support for cognitive, emotional, and social growth.

Occupational Therapy & Functional Skills

Occupational therapy in school focuses on building essential motor, sensory, and self-help skills that support a child’s participation in classroom routines. Through individualized interventions and hands-on activities, students become more independent, confident, and ready to learn.

Individualized Learning Support

We believe every child deserves a learning experience tailored to their unique potential. Through Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs), we address each child’s strengths, challenges, and developmental needs. Our flexible, personalized approach ensures learning is engaging, meaningful, and paced to suit diverse learners—creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive and succeed.

Our Leaders Speak

At Khaitan, inclusive education ensures that every learner progresses at their own pace, supported by an ecosystem that recognizes their unique strengths, challenges, and learning styles. Through individualized education plans, differentiated instruction, accommodations, and therapeutic interventions, we remove learning barriers so that students can access the curriculum meaningfully. Our classrooms are collaborative spaces where teachers, counsellors, and specialists work together to foster emotional well-being, communication, and independence.

Beyond academics, our focus is on nurturing essential life skills; self-advocacy, social interaction, resilience, and confidence; so every child feels valued and empowered. We believe inclusion is not a policy but a culture, where each learner is respected as a capable individual with potential waiting to unfold. When children feel seen, supported, and understood, they don’t just learn; they thrive.
