Environment protection and cleanliness are the need of the hour. The Government of India has identified the importance of cleanliness and has started various programs and campaigns related to environment protection and cleanliness in whole.
On the same lines, Khaitan Public School has also taken a step towards this noble cause and conducted a guest speaker program to make the young minds aware of their responsibility and contribution towards the same.
A highly interactive, interesting and motivational session related to waste Management and waste segregation was conducted on 23rd October 2019 at Khaitan Public School, Sahibabad.
The program was presided over by Shri. Dinesh Chandra Singh, the Municipal Commissioner of Ghaziabad. The event also saw presence of the below dignitaries from the Ghaziabad Office:

The program was commenced by Ms. Manowara Chowdhury who shared with the audience the importance of waste Management and the methods of doing the same. It is important to mention here that this is an integral part of Khaitan’s Green School Program.
The SBM-KPMG team briefed about dry and wet waste management, composting, categorization of solid waste, different bin system, source segregation at household level and initiation of projects on Swacch Bharat Mission.
Shri. Dinesh Chandra Singh, the Municipal Commissioner conducted an interactive session where he asked questions around the ban on single use plastic that harms the environment and the various initiatives by Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation to stop the use of single use plastic. He advised the students to use biodegradable materials for daily use like jute and cloth bags. He also motivated the students to use the Mantra Health is Wealth and spoke about FIT India. He also went on to do Shirshasana for over 10 minutes with students from Khaitan Public School.
Shri D.K Aggarwal,Health officer(THA) and Shrimati Raj Sharma,the green activist also addressed the gathering and inspired the students to shoulder responsibilities to save the environment.
The Principal of Khaitan Public School Ms. Sonia Anil Verma also addressed the gathering about the benefits of waste management and also proposed the Vote of Thanks. The invited guests were also thanked for their presence with a Tulsi Pot.
