Khaitan Public School Conducts Investiture Ceremony for its Young Leaders

Khaitan Public School, Sector 5 Sahibabad, conducted its Investiture Ceremony with great fanfare at its freshly renovated hi-tech auditorium in the presence of parents, well-wishers, and students. Realizing that for prospective responsible citizens and great leaders, the qualities of leadership have to be inculcated in the students, K P S tries to groom its students into leaders right when they are young. The Investiture ceremony purported to celebrate the importance given to that training.
Group Captain Vipul Singh a Vayu Sena Medal awardee presided over the function. The Chairman of Khaitan Education Society, Mr. Anirudh Khaitan, the Education Director of Khaitan School Mrs. Geeta Varshneya, the Headmaster and the Headmistresses of all the three wings of the school graced the occasion with their benign presence. Mr. Spokey Wheeler, an RSA fellow and the international director of Adhyayan, an education movement, was a special invitee to the august occasion. The parents of the students selected for the Prefectorial Team were among the invitees.
The investiture ceremony commenced with a prayer song sung to the accompaniment of a captivating dance. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and other guests of honor. In emotionally charged speeches, both the outgoing Head Boy and the Head Girl spoke of KPS becoming part of their consciousness and ethos. In a fervent speech, the Education Director fondly remembered all the achievements of the students in the year gone by. As part of the ceremony, the newly inducted captains were decorated with the badges signifying their new positions. The school flag was ceremoniously handed over by the outgoing Head Boy to his successor. The Chief Guest spoke of the importance of instilling leadership qualities in the young students. The oath of office was administered to the incumbent leaders. Mr. Anand Kumar, the HM of the senior wing proposed a vote of thanks.
The programme concluded on a joyous note with an exhilarating dance performance by young Khaitanians.
